Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees and houseplants, along with soil, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries usually grow part of their own stock and carry varieties suited to the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Plant shops focus on houseplants, succulents and orchids, often with repotting help. Greenhouses and growers sell seedlings and bedding plants in spring, and many offer wholesale prices to landscapers. Landscape designers plan planting beds, patios and irrigation, and some garden centers offer design and installation services as well.

Lubbock is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Lubbock follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I absolutely love Ivey Gardens! In my opinion, itβs the best nursery here in Lubbock. Iβve been to probably all of the nurseries in Lubbock and they out beat everyone. Theyβre courteous, answer all your questions, and best of all, they have great prices! Household plants to outdoor annual flowers are very well taken care of. This will always be my go to for any of my plants.

Staff is friendly and they have a wide variety of plants available. I didn't even know variegated bougainvillea existed before I went, but they do and they're beautiful.

Very nice pricing on plants but they were EXTREMELY proud of their planters. Even the small plastic 4" pots were $5/ea. However I got to roam around looking at everything without being bothered. I'd happily purchase they're beautiful flowers...but I think I'll avoid the planters and statues.
